Hey folks, I just called Mayor Libby Schaaf to demand her support of undocumented immigrants in the city of Oakland.

Yesterday, Mayor Murray of Seattle made a statement saying that the city will be a sanctuary for undocumented immigrants, even if it means losing federal funding. Please call your Mayor’s office and demand similar actions of support. Deetz below.

Head’s up: a sanctuary city means that the city won’t give undocumented immigrants up for deportation when the federal government demands it. The mayor San Francisco has also pledged to keep our city a sanctuary city.  Keep in mind, that Trump has specifically said he wants to cut federal funding from these cities if they continue with this policy of protecting undocumented immigrants.
